Altosid Briquets is a granule formulation used to control mosquitoes. It is applied outdoors to temporary and permanent sites that support mosquito larval development, such as marshes, swamps, ponds, ditches, and manmade water-holding receptacles like tires, urns, and flower pots.

Worker safety

PPE required Due to the size and abrasiveness of the granule, use protective eyewear and clothing to minimize exposure during loading and handling.

Timing & weather

Apply Altosid® Pro-G at any stage of larval mosquito development.
Granules may be applied prior to flooding (i.e., “pre-hatch” or “pre-flood”) in areas which flood intermittently.

Use restrictions 3

Do not use food utensils such as tablespoons or measuring cups for food purposes after use with insecticides.
ALTOSID® insect growth regulator has no effect on mosquitoes which have reached the pupal or adult stage prior to treatment.
Application of Altosid® Pro-G to sites subject to water flow or exchange will diminish the product’s effectiveness and may require higher application rates and/or more frequent applications.
