Brake On! is a residual herbicide containing 86.24% Fluridone. It is designed for the control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds. It is suitable for use in various crops including citrus fruit, pome fruit, stone fruit, berry and small fruit, tree nut, grass and non-grass forages, tropical and subtropical fruits, and hops. The product works by applying fluridone to the soil surface to control germinating weeds. When used, herbicide symptoms may appear as white (chlorotic) or pink growing points in susceptible weed species. Users should be aware of rotational crop restrictions; for example, new perennial crops may be established in a location previously treated with this product 3 months after application if the soil has been thoroughly mixed to a depth of at least 6 inches. It is critical to manage spray drift to avoid non-target sites and to follow specific weather precautions, such as avoiding applications during temperature inversions or gusty winds. Always follow the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements for handling and reentry.
